3 Simple Tips for Pet Pics!

OHHHH how we love our pets! But why do my pet pics look like so…well, amateur? Check out our quick tricks for better fur baby pics!

Get On Their Level

That’s right, if you want a great pet pic you must do daily meditations with your pet. JK! Ok, actually that sounds pretty nice! But for now, we recommend getting on the same physical level as your pet subject. If your kitty is on the couch, sit on the floor and photograph them on couch level! And yes, if your lil pup is on the floor, it’s time for you to hit the deck:)

Chose a Plain Background

If you are photographing your pets in your living room, do a quick de-clutter of the background. A couple of throw pillows are ok but that load of unfolded laundry, your kid’s books (wait, do kids still read books??) and your partner’s snack plate will definitely take the focus off of your furry lovebug. If you are outside with a bigger pet, try to find a more sparse background: a field, a grassy park or a beach!

Have Your Camera Ready!

If you are using your phone to catch pics of your pets then half the battle is won because we all have our phones on us WAY too much! But if you are using your actual camera, keep it in a safe place that is easily accessible and make sure the battery is charged. If today is the day you are for sure going to get your best pic then keep the camera around your neck so you don’t miss that precious moment when your cat lays on top of your dog!
