What to Wear to a Family Photography Session

This is one of the most common question we get asked before a session. No worries, we got you covered! Here is what you need to know:

Be Comfortable

Your photos are about your connection, your outfit is secondary! The most important thing is to wear clothes that you feel comfortable so your connection with your family can shine through. What outfit makes you feel most like you? If you are a casual family, go with something more casual. If you tend to get more dressed up then go for something dressy and special.

Coordinate, Don’t Match

No need to go out and buy matching outfits unless, of course, if that is your thing! Think more about coordination, less about matching. You can coordinate by choosing colors that go together.

Choose Neutral Colors with an Accent

Choose one or two neutral colors as your base. Blue, brown, white, or black are great choices, and then add a matching color of your choice. For example, wear blue jeans, and light tops and add orange shirts, or skirts. A bit of color is great! Please avoid logos and neon colors. Neon will leave a color cast on your skin that will show in your photos.
